Heavy Duty Reinforcement of Rear Frame & Springs
Uni-body cars lack rigidity and our camaros and firebirds are no exception. Ever notice how your doors bind when you jack the car?
Even traditional frame connectors don't do much to remedy the situation.
Rusted frame rails are another problem. I know this because they are nearly gone on our '78 T/A and the motavation for the delelopment of this product.
We took the direct approach with the E-Z Frame.Kit. The E-Z Frame
creates a 3-D type space frame by tying together 3 points inside your car:
the leaf spring eye bracket, the seat belt mounting bolt and the rear shock
tower (see diagram below). It's solid! Best of all it makes a soild connection to the leaf springs so you don't need to rely on the factory "clip on" nuts.
This kit compliments conventional frame connectors, nylon bushings and traction bars and makes them all more effective. It's an absolute savior for cars with rusted frame rails.
Drilling of floor and minor tack welding is required. Slight modification to seat wire frame is needed to retain rear seat. Rails can be installed in about 2 hours.
The design allows for a lot of creativity to do lateral bracing later if you wish.
All parts have black painted finish.
